Upgraded low-budget hotel with exceptional views of the castle. Large bathroom, functional, recently refurbished room. Marvellous, magnificent location in New Town district next to the train station and princes st gardens, the shopping facilities, and the tram came trundling along at 6am, never got a wink of sleep all night. Variety of food at the rich and above average breakfast.
Very rude staff!

Our classic triple room had useful amenities like luggage storage, a trouser press, and an iron. The breakfast was delicious and offered great value. The staff was very friendly and helpful.- The hotel's location was excellent, right next to Princess Street, with restaurants, pubs, the National Gallery, the Royal Mile.

Perfectly located, 10 minutes by foot to Royal Mile. And it's set in a very convenient area so close to all the main sights, the Castle, Art Gallery, Holyrood Palace and Arthur's Seat, and the center. The classic room is high-class and has luggage storage and facilities to make tea.

The breakfast menu had a very nice assortment of choices, and all the food was very good. The room was very clean and tidy, and all the front desk people were very helpful and friendly. The bartender in the pub was very friendly and helpful, too!
It would have been nice if the pub in the basement could have stayed open until a little later in the evening.

Great location, is right next to Waverley Station!
Оur room was uncomfortable, especially the shower, the bath was unsatisfying. We also heard the noise of ventilation from the kitchen outside all night. We reported this and were told that they were aware of the problem.

René
